En 2023, deux musiciens bruxellois ont donné carte blanche à Abel Verheyden pour créer un projet visuel qui viendrait soutenir le récit de leur premier album. Ils lui ont raconté l'histoire d'un homme qui trouve son indépendance à travers la musique et fait ses adieux à un monde de trafic de drogue qui l'a trop longtemps retenu prisonnier.

Il a accepté cette commande à condition de pouvoir y ajouter un peu de lui-même, un peu de Bruxelles et un peu de lumière. Le résultat s'intitule Acide. Ce court métrage dépeint une nuit où trois individus décident de mettre fin à leur relation avec la drogue, du fournisseur au consommateur. Ce film est à la fois une commande et un essai stylistique sur la nuit, les échanges troublés et les non-dits.

In 2023, two Brussels-based musicians gave Abel Verheyden carte blanche to create a visual project that would support the narrative of their first album. They told him the story of a man who finds his independence through musical performance and bids farewell to the world of drug dealing that had imprisoned him for too long.

He accepted the commission on the condition that he could add a little bit of himself, a little bit of Brussels, and a little bit of light. The result is entitled Acide. A short film depicting a night when three individuals decide to end their relationship with drugs, from the supplier to the consumer. This film is both a commission and a stylistic essay on nighttime, troubled exchanges, and the unsaid.
